Part of educating children about drugs is to give them as many tools as we can to help them say no. When everyone at school knows that parents have a means to test kids for drug use it makes it easier to say no when they understand they lose all privileges if they test positive. No more football games, no driving, no after school activities.

The tests are accurate, and parents can use them any way they think will keep their children off drugs. If you want to test them, go ahead. If the threat of being tested is enough, so be it. The fact that it’s a known option give kids an easy out.

The students in High School and College today will be entering a very competitive work environment when it comes time for the real world. They need to understand that more and more companies will be conducting pre-employment drug screening.
